Urban Gritty City: Macro and Close Up

Do you love rust, decay, peeling paint, and other gritty subjects? Then this class is for you. No flowers, no boats, no sunsets, just what most people walk right past with out thinking about taking a photo. I will lead you up and down the back streets of the South End to the best spots for urban decay. What they step on or step over becomes a fascinating photo when seen with a photographers eye.

We will work with both macro and close up shots. It is great if you have a macro lens, but not essential for the class. You can still do the close up shots. Take a look at the samples below to get as sense of what we will focus on.

This class is all about creative seeing and being open to the unexpected beauty around us. It is up to you to use composition and camera settings to highlight the visual qualities you see.
